*Piano is a new program. Level I was introduced in 2014-2015. Level II will begin in 2015-2016, level III in 2016-2017, and level IV in 2017-2018. New courses are dependent on enrollment.

Those can include Jazz Band, Full Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble, Musical Pit Orchestra, Steel Drum Band, etc. Area Youth Orchestras and Bands are also helpful as is UIL Solo and Ensemble, and TMEA region and state auditions. There are a number of small area civic orchestras and bands as well that often will welcome high school membership. Students can often find “shadow” or internship opportunities in Austin’s large and varied professional musician community. These can include recording studios, music stores, arts organizations, live venues and event support positions.
